Mental Health Respite for Older Carers

The Mental Health Respite for Older Carers program operates in the south eastern and north west of Adelaide, providing  tailored respite options to meet the needs of both carer and care recipient  — either group activity or one-one support.

Usually this means activities for the care recipient so the carer has some much needed time to themselves. Support is recovery-based and aims to increase the care recipient’s independence and community engagement.

Prospective clients can self-refer and intake is by assessment of need plus eligibility criteria.
