Anglicare SA was established just on 151 years ago, in 1860. While it retains strong links with the Anglican Church, Anglicare SA Inc operates independently with its own management structure and its own Board of Directors.
Anglicare SA is a member of Anglicare Australia and has a close association with Anglicare organisations in each state.
Our statement of purpose says that Anglicare SA, on behalf of the Anglican Church, expresses God's love for individuals, families and communities by:
- Making a positive difference to quality of life
- Responding to needs and issues in ways which enhance and protect dignity and integrity
- Promoting social justice
Our 1500+ staff and more than 900 volunteers work in a wide range of roles at more than 30 major sites across metropolitan Adelaide.
Through their talent and commitment, we make a positive difference to the lives of 50,000 elderly, homeless, unemployed and financially disadvantaged people every year.
We are a licensed South Australian charity, number CCP422
